Preparations

The to-do list doesn’t seem to get any shorter! In fact, every time I turn around, it seems to have gained a bullet point or two. Order this, check that. Today’s scare was that the steering seemed to have a bit of play in it. Turns out that I just greased it well enough that it takes a lot less effort to turn the wheel!

Kuaklet is on the home stretch and should be launched in the next week or two.

Since these photos she has gotten Raptor Deck (unfortunately not CNC cut due to time constraints) and a bunch of epoxied on fittings. The rudder, pintles, gudgeons, and rowing seat / oarlocks are (hopefully) the final bits.

We also had a last minute haul-out for an insurance survey. Gets me nervous every time. This is the first time I’ve had to pull a transducer in the water – the water spout hit me in the face. Now I need to put it back in.

And more prep to come soon!
